The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the premier Twenty20 (T20) cricket league in India and one of the most popular cricket leagues worldwide. It features ten teams representing different cities in India and is governed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Since its inception in 2007, the IPL has grown immensely in popularity and become a major event in the cricketing world.

2024 Season (IPL 16): The 2024 Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 16 or Tata IPL 2024 due to sponsorship reasons, marks the sixteenth season of the league. Scheduled to be played between March 22 and May 26, 2024, this season will take place across twelve venues in India. The tournament will feature the following ten teams:

  • Delhi Capitals
  • Gujarat Titans
  • Kolkata Knight Riders
  • Lucknow Super Giants
  • Mumbai Indians
  • Punjab Kings
  • Rajasthan Royals
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore

Match Schedule: The 2024 IPL season will return to its original home-and-away format after four years. The previous three seasons were held at neutral venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This season, the league will also bring back “fan parks” in 45 cities and will feature an opening ceremony, last seen in 2019.
